This plugin is freeware and has been released as VST for Windows and AudioUnit for Mac.
It has been made with Maize Sampler.
It’s a multi out VST : each sound is routed on a stereo pair:
bassdrum on channels 1-2, snare on channels 3-4, etc..

With many quality sample kit of the LM1 floating around the web, you can also use your favorite drum sampler and load the wav files into it.
You can use the old Linplug RM F VST or the good TX16Wx, or any sampler able to load wav files and trigger the sound with MIDI.
Groove Extractor transcribes a drum loop recording into five components: bass drum, snare drum, close hihat, open hihat/cymbal and tom-toms. The transcription result is represented as General MIDI file. Extract the groove you like and turn into your own creation!
Import your loop, or a folder of loops. Groove extractor will extract the groove automatically, then you can export the result.
There are three analysis settings:
- Electronic represents the groove by 3 components: kick, snare and hi-hat. It works best for loops generated by electronic drum machines.
- Acoustics represents the groove by 5 components: kick, snare, closed hi-hat, cymbal/open hi-hat and toms. It works best for acoustic drum recordings.
- Trigger represents the groove by one component: the detected onsets.
